The Outdoor Journal has been covering the incredible people of the film long before the limelight of the Oscars - keeping true to our mission to always highlight the students, advocates, and community members who make Skateistan and similar programs possible. Most recently, The Outdoor Journal reviewed the film itself just 2 weeks ago - Film Review: “Learning To Skateboard In A Warzone” – So much more than “Cool”. In addition to this, you can check out our previous work as we continue to update you on the impact of this award on the Skateistan community:
Our three part series on Skateistan and our interview with Jessica Faulkner (linked above) - the communications manager at Skateistan’s Berlin headquarters - gives you a behind the scenes look at the impact, work and ethos of the Skateistan program and organization, and the community they serve.
