Rescue India is conducting a five-day River Rescue Course for professional boaters in Rishikesh starting today. The course is certified by IRF and Rescue 3 International.
Rescue India, 'India's first water and rope rescue training company' is conducting a five-day River Rescue Course (RRC-PRO) and International Rafting Federation (IRF) guide assessment for professional boaters in Rishikesh in north India.
The course starts today (Saturday, 11 July).
Bhupender Singh Rana, India's first kayaker/river instructor to receive a Rescue 3 International and IRF instructor certification, and founder of Rescue India said, "It is a fast paced, scenario based course designed to develop the ability to choose good actions when a river rescue is necessary. This curriculum is for river guides and kayakers that spend a good portion of their lives on the river in a professional capacity, and therefore have a solid base of boating and basic rescue skills already."
On successful completion of the course, the participants get a RRC-PRO certificate by Rescue 3 International, California, USA, valid for three years and River Guide and Safety Craft assessment certificate by IRF (International Rafting Federation), USA, valid for two years.
The International Rafting Federation (IRF) is an international body bringing rafting communities and professional rafters together. It conducts several courses and certifications throughout the year to ensure a global standard for guides.
