Stylish but functional, this womens’ golfwear brand makes apparel that works just as well in the outdoors as it does on the greens.
When a Beldrie rep reached out to me and sent my girlfriend one of their “skorts” to test, at first I was skeptical. She’s a former golfer, but our golfing missions are pretty much limited to TopGolf and putt-putt these days, so I wasn't sure if she’d find much use for it. I was wrong.
She’s since taken to wearing this skirt everywhere from pickleball to mini golf to the bar and frontcountry day hikes and picnics, (and has honestly become something of a die-hard Beldrie fan). She raves about the skort enough to me that I figured we’d drop a review with her input. It may be advertised as a golf "skort" but it's a great piece of apparel for any women who want a blend of comfort, performance, and style outside.
Superb Comfort and Next-Level Breathability
The first thing that impressed me when we took the “Elevated Skort” out of the box is the nylon-spandex fabric blend. This material is featherlight and extremely soft, and has remained so after several runs through the washing machine. We have the “white” model (the skort also comes in sky blue and black), and it hasn’t stained or deteriorated in any way throughout 4+ months of regular wear.
Basically, this thing is a cross between a skirt and a pair of shorts—a skirt on the outside, a form-fitting pair of yoga shorts on the inside—rimmed with a wide, “slimming” waistband. It’s flexible, functional, and extremely breathable, making it a great choice for day hikes, and trips to the golf course and driving range just as much as brunches with friends or nights out.
It looks good, too. My girlfriend was immediately impressed with the sleek, modern aesthetic. This is the sort of understated apparel that accentuates you, not the other way around. The design is flattering and practical—despite the somewhat clunky name— with a high-waisted silhouette that offers a comfortable, slimming fit.
The high-rise skirt offers style both and full freedom of movement, and the integrated shorts give peace of mind so you don't have to worry about your skirt flying up. The length of the skirt is standard length in the front, but slightly longer in the back to aid in this, as well.
Exactly What You Want, No Bells and Whistles
This piece of apparel—and really, this brand—is one of those products that’s honestly difficult to review, because it does what it sets out to do without needless flash or excessive features.
There are deftly integrated side and rear slip pockets that are basically invisible unless you’re using them, but nothing else gets in the way of what this skort is supposed to be: comfortable, stylish apparel that performs as good as it looks. No bulky pockets or zippers or buttons or anything else.
Beldrie is one of those brands that clearly knows what they do well and sticks with it, which I always like to see. They have the skorts, two styles of top, and a quarterzip. That’s it. No half-assed accessory products that take away time and money and drive from their bread-and-butter.
The products have nearly unanimous rave reviews, and are, predictably, routinely sold-out. I’m jealous they don’t make clothing for men.
